SPC Electronics Always Have and Will Continue to
Do Our Absolute Best for a Better Tomorrow

To date, SPC Electronics Corporation has proudly provided various products and services, from components to systems, in the telecommunications electronics and industrial equipment fields, centering around the high-frequency technology (microwave, millimeter-wave, and high frequency induction heating) cultivated since our foundation.

We at SPC Electronics will continue to be a company that contributes to solving social issues by applying high-frequency technology to flexibly meet the ever-changing needs of the times while pursuing both technological innovation and environmental protection in order to ultimately create a sustainable society.

Addressing Social Issues through Business

PWM-controlled High-frequency IH Inverters SBT-PW Series & SCT-SW Series Offering Even Better Power Factor and Power Efficiency

Contributing to energy-saving with our original PWM control and digitization technology

For the latest SBT-PW Series and SCT-SW Series, we have adopted the latest power semiconductors (SiC), updated the rectifier circuit, incorporated a newly developed PWM control method, and implemented digital control using FPGA to significantly improve the power factor and power efficiency compared to these products’ predecessors.

EV Wireless Power Transfer

Contributing to the early creation of a decarbonized society through the practical application of EV wireless power transfer

With the aim of practical application of wireless power transfer for EVs, SPC Electronics has developed an on-board device that can be retrofitted to commercial EVs, control technology to maximize power transfer in the event of misalignment, and an inverter capable of transferring power at a maximum output of 45kW, and began actual vehicle driving tests on public roads in 2024.

Our Initiatives for Sustainable Corporate Activities

Environment

Environmental policy

Based on the recognition that we share the global environment with future generations, SPC Electronics will promote environmental initiatives as one of its most important management issues. We aim to be an environmentally advanced enterprise that satisfies society’s expectations and contributes to the realization of a prosperous and sustainable society through continuous technological development.

1. Contributing to society
We will continue our activities to reduce environmental load, working to limit the impact on the global environment as much as possible by controlling greenhouse gas emissions and promoting resource recycling in our business activities. Also, by continuously improving what we offer, we will contribute to society by providing products and services designed with an emphasis on reducing dimensions and weight while offering high performance and harnessing technology to reduce environmental impact by conserving resources and energy.
2. Helping to prevent global warming and complying with relevant laws and regulations
We will actively introduce measures to help prevent global warming and systematically promote CO2 reduction. Moreover, recognizing that legislation represents the minimum expected by society, we will not only comply with relevant laws and regulations but also be keenly aware of how society is changing, never forgetting to consider the environment when engaging in business activities.
3. Promoting communication
Through in-house staff awareness activities and environmental education, we will foster an environmental mindset and – together with employees, their families, and the local community – expand the scope of our social contribution activities. Furthermore, in our capacity as a corporate citizen, we will promote communication to foster mutual understanding between enterprise and society.
4. Action guidelines for employees and other parties
All SPC Electronics employees and related parties will implement the following as priority guidelines for our environmental activities.

Biodiversity action guidelines

Approach to biodiversity
The earth’s ecosystem consists of an enormous diversity of living organisms. All human activities derive benefits from this ecosystem while at the same time having both direct and indirect effects upon it. And today, because of such negative effects, biodiversity is said to be imperiled as one after another species disappear with the ongoing destruction of ecosystems.

Aware of this threat to biodiversity, SPC Electronics has incorporated the importance of biodiversity within the conceptual basis for the environmental activities in which we have been engaged to help prevent global warming and to contribute to the development of a recycling-oriented society. We have thus established our own Biodiversity Action Guidelines to demonstrate how our business activities should be informed by respect for biodiversity. Our goal is for society to develop through sustainable business activities.

Action guidelines

  • Resources and
    procurement
Aware that we must continue to procure and utilize such natural resources as minerals, fossil fuels, and plants, we will promote green procurement that values biodiversity.
  • DesignIn designing the products and services we supply to society, we will strive to make effective use of resources and efficient use of energy while avoiding the discharge of substances associated with environmental risk.
  • Manufacturing and
    transportation
When planning to develop or redevelop a plot of land – when building a new of factory or warehouse, for example – we will give careful consideration to conserving the biodiversity of the site. We will seek to minimize energy consumption, waste generation, and chemical emissions associated with our manufacturing and transportation activities.
  • Sales, use and
    maintenance
When selling products and services, we will encourage customer awareness regarding how biodiversity can be affected by their use and/or maintenance.
  • Collection and
    recycling
We will carefully develop/select recycling routes and employ these for the used products collected from our customers.
  • Awareness and
    action
Keenly aware of the relationship between biodiversity and the sustainability of human life on this planet, we will act constructively and spontaneously to foster coexistence between Man and Nature.
  • CooperationIn our activities, we will collaborate with our parent company, Mitsubishi Electric Corp., and cooperate with local communities, NGOs, and government.

Basic policy on conflict minerals

SPC Electronics takes a grave view of the human rights abuses and environmental destruction caused by armed groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its surrounding countries. These armed groups are believed to be funded by the trade in conflict minerals (tin, tantalum, tungsten, gold, and other minerals deemed to be a source of funds by the U.S. Department of State), and we will work to ensure transparency in our supply chain and promote responsible mineral procurement to avoid contributing to this problem.

Appropriate price shifting

In order to promote cooperation, coexistence and co-prosperity with our supply chain partners and other value-creating businesses, and to build new partnerships, SPC Electronics will comply with the desirable business practices ("Promotion Standards" under the Act on the Promotion of Subcontracting Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) between clients and suppliers, and will conduct appropriate price negotiations and price shifting based on the various guidelines published by the regulatory authorities1.
