History

1946 Established Shimada Rika Kogyosho in Shimada-cho, Shida-gun, Shizuoka (now Shimada-shi).
1947 Established SPC Electronics Corporation.
Established the head office in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo and a factory in Shimada-shi, Shizuoka.
1948 Released a high-frequency induction system.
Relocated the head office to Nakano-ku, Tokyo.
Established Osaka Liaison Office (present Kansai Branch Office).
1951 Released microwave devices.
Established Nagoya Branch Office (present Chubu Branch Office).
1952 Acquired capital participation from Mitsubishi Electric Corporation.
Established a new factory in Nakano-ku, Tokyo.
1960 Relocated the head office and Tokyo Works to Chofu City, Tokyo.
1974 Renewed the corporate logomark (SPC mark) and font type for the company name.
1982 Began exporting satellite communication equipment to the United States.
1985 Opened a representative office in Atlanta, USA.
1988 Established SPC Electronics America, Inc. as a local subsidiary upgraded from a representative office.
1991 Completed an R&D building in the head office area.

2023 Received the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy Commissioner's Award at the Japan Machinery Federation's 2022 Excellent Energy Saving and Decarbonization Equipment and System Award for the PWM-controlled induction heating inverter.
Developed wireless power supply inverter for EVs.
2024 Received the FY 2024 Defense Infrastructure Development Foundation Award given by the Defense Infrastructure Development Foundation (BSK) for the development of tactical air navigation (TACAN) test equipment (TACAN simulator 12S400) using digital signal processing technology.
